Quick Dutch Lesson 4: “Ik heb”

Many learners translate "I have" literally. And in Dutch, it's often that simple. You just say "Ik heb [something]" for possession or experiences.

Examples:
I have a book → Ik heb een boek
I have a question → Ik heb een vraag
I have two cats → Ik heb twee katten
He has a car → Hij heeft een auto
We have time → Wij hebben tijd
